...to all you Iphone aficionados...I find myself in serious need for a GPS app...not a directions to location app such as what TOM-TOM does but a thru the woods app...I need to be able to set a way point and follow a specific direction from that point...anybody know of one??? preferably free or cheap...the info would be appreciated.........

Madjack:

One word of caution on these GPS apps. They drain the battery very quickly!!!

I went hunting with my brother (he's the hunter, I go with him for the exercise and to get out in the woods) and I used "iMapMyRide" which does GPS tracking of walking, running, biking. My battery was down to the red level within 4 hours. And, I forgot my spare battery transfer, and my car charger (we were in his car). I just wanted to make sure I could get back to the car ;)

I do not have a good sense of direction, so it was a good thing that the sun was shining ;) , and good thing my brother has a better sense of direction than I do :D

Remember to dress warm while she dances naked in the moonlight. Standing around, you'll get cold. Dancing on the other hand...
