Got a few lanterns today off of craigslist today, paid $20 for the lot.

From left to right: 4/49 228D, 10/52 228E, 12/47 242C & one marked 742.4? on a tag, attached a photo of it by itself. Anyone know what this one is?

Also a couple pictures of the 1955 200a I just finished...

Oh well, I was hoping those would last until after Christmas, but glad to see they went to a good home. :D

Just found out what the other is after cleaning the tag off. It is a 1934'ish Prentiss Wabers Sears Jr. 742.47 Model. anyone know what globe this thing was supposed to use? Info I found said they didn;t come with a globe, it was purchased seperately?

Good score. Nice collection and all from one place! My Craigslist has lanterns going for Ebay prices, so I don't buy any there.

Nice finds! I love the Preway lanterns. They will run on Kerosene as well as Coleman fuel.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

A few days ago there was a CL add for 2 lanterns and they also was asking Efleace amounts. But the add was gone in a couple of days. Was not I that bought them. The lanterns was not that special. One was a 228 but to new for what I want. I want a hight hat. A 228D with nickel fount, or a 228B. Just my wishing.

I have my 220D ( birthday lantern ) burning right now. Past several weeks I seem to burn a lantern for a a few hours every night. Need to find some pump kerosene.
