Western Auto Revelation

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

Western Auto Revelation

Postby Wolffarmer » Sat Dec 24, 2011 9:14 pm

Here is my Western Auto Revelation collection. Such as it is. The water jug came in yesterday.

Image

It is setting on a stove made by AGM. I would date it in the 60's, Who knows when the jug was made. Now I need a lantern. The ones I have see pictures of look like the Thermos ones.

Well not that I really "need" the lantern. But am looking for one.

Lee has more lanterns than you though!!

A blue one would be nice. I wouldn't pass one up!

Are the rebuilding/cleaning instructions basically the same? Are most vintage lanterns built the same way, basically? Except maybe the oldest ones??

Yeah, like I'm going to find something in the wild..likely story!

I like these old AGM stoves. Once you figure out how to light them they are good burners. Sometimes setting up the lid and wings is a bit fiddly but that just allows a person to put on a bigger show.

You got me looking at the water jugs on ebay last night....but just what do I need one for???

Lemonade? Adult lemonade?? Hmmm...may have to get one yet!!!

I'm trying not to look at larger stoves. But that one is cool. Gotta get a working lantern first though...not just my super bright LEDs!
