Long time lurker - Snoqualmie, WA

Postby kholmes007 » Fri Dec 23, 2011 11:48 am

Hello everyone. I've been lurking for some time on here and figured I should do the official introduction. I live with my wife, dog and two cats in Snoqualmie, WA about 30 minutes east of Seattle. I am obsessed with TD's and TTT's. I have and am going back forth and every which way deciding what I will eventually build. I started looking at used TD's, then started dreaming of a $20k camp-inn trailer, then really started investigating this forum and have decided that I will need to build something to get what I want and pay the price I want. It's been so fun to read all the build's etc. Will I build the gen benroy, a widget, a foamie, who knows. I'm having fun figuring it all out.

Welcome and enjoy, from a bit south of you. Come to few of the Northwest gatherings this summer and meet the rest of us obsessed folks!

Welcome to the forum. I started building for the same reason, to get what I wanted at a price I could afford. But I am finding the building to be so much fun that's enough reason on its own!! You'll notice that many many people on this site are on their second, or third, or more, build.

Enjoy the process and the comradarie. This site is populated with people who have a wealth of experience and ideas and the best part is they're willing to share. Ask any questions, someone will answer.

Can't wait to see what you decide to build!!

Welcome to the forum :shake hands: . Too bad you missed the last 10 years at the 4TH of July week teardropping just down the road in Carnation.
It is no more (they moved to Arizona) but we do have a lot of other gatherings nearby during the warm months.
Keep an eye on the TOW (Teardroppers Of Oregon & Washington) WEBSITE for the 2012 calendar of events.
Our next get together should be in February in South Seattle as a pot luck to visit and see what's planned for the new year.
Hope you can make it. :D Danny

I have noticed people talking about future builds before finishing one. Pretty funny. I have also noticed the very helpful nature of the site and can tell that this is a special place filled with some special people. I am already grateful!

I'll look forward to sharing my future build with you!

:shake hands: Would have been nice to experience the Carnation events for sure. I have noted the TOW website and will keep an eye on it, thanks for the tip. I will also see if I can make the south Seattle event if possible, that would be great! I know I thumbed through your build at one time and was quite impressed with your craftsmanship, would love to see it in person sometime!

Cheers, thanks! ;)

My wife has family in Moses Lake and Chelan so we make it over to your side several times a year at least.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
