GPW,

Don't you have an iMac? What color chip would best match the base?

Kalamazoo blue AFAICT (gray here today, no sun)... Lighter is probably closer than darker... The silver has a slight reflective quality that the gray does not , so picks up any other colors around it , which makes it appear different that plain paint ... If I do a painting of something Silver, I use several different values of gray and toss in any other colors that surround it ... paying particular attention to the reflections and gradations .. so it would be possible to use regular paint to make the trailer appear to be covered in Al/ Silver, but usually requires some serious artistic observation and painting effort ... and usually best viewed at one angle to be effective... FWIW

Then again , wasn’t it the inconsistencies in the old school brushed on Al enamel that gave it “That lookâ€

Can't wait to see this painted.

Blue makes sense if you think about it, because aluminum reflects the sky.

I want aluminum , but a nice aluminum color paint could work

Mike , if you see it against a white background (as shown here) it appears Darker that would appear against a natural field (background) .. The problem with color chips ...

Here’s a comparison ...same gray , different backgrounds ... most everyone would say the one on the right is Lighter ... but it’s not ...

While Chell was inside the foamie painting lavender, I made a couple windows.

I'll bet they are Glen,

But tomorrow is my last day off. Monday it's back to work, and which point the progress on the foamie will slow again.

But we made good progress the second half of this week, and most importantly, we now have heat in the garage. So progress will continue on weekends.

In a nutshell, I have to build a door, install the windows, finishing prepping the outside, and skin the outside with canvas.

Then I probably will run some simple ac power, install some tail lights and license plate holder, and we should be ready to go.

There are many other things that could be done, but they are not necessary to get out and get camping. So stay tuned, hopefully I can get this thing done before too long.

Oh yes we plan on camping this spring in it. We are hoping it is going to be our quick getaway camper. You know when you just decide at the last minute to go camping and nothing is ready. That will be the one we take.

Hoping it is all we think it will be. All that labor of love we put into it.
