Our weather has been unseasonably warm, except for the last two days. I went camping last Friday, Dec. 30, New Year's Eve weekend. Friday night was very windy, as this pic somewhat shows:

Then Saturday was absolutely gorgeous. The wind died, and the sun came out and stayed all day. I sat around the fire until 9 p.m. with only a light jacket.

And look at the sunset the Good Lord gave me to close the day :)

The wind returned Saturday night with strong gusts, and at 4 a.m. I hooked up and moved inland because I decided I wasn't going to get any sleep if I didn't.

T@B

That looks like a wonderful campsite, when the wind is not having a party. When I was in ND last week the temps was up in the 40s and 50s. Just unbelievable.

Randy, I camped last weekend too. Friday's high was 65. Unheard of! We're supposed to see a high of barely 30 for the end of this week, but so far we're hanging in the low 50's. I'll take it

I got back home to Idaho last night, rather warm for this time of year, low of 20 and will probably get to 40 at my place. No snow left. Would like to go camping but this time of year I hate to camp alone. Nights are just to darn long.

I agree. I was alone New Years Eve weekend, so I brought my laptop and watched a couple of movies. I never watch movies at home so it was a treat.

Last weekend my daughter met me. We camped halfway between home and her university. We get to visit but neither of us has a 2-hour drive to do it.
