Kevin surprised me with a "Birthday 200A" today, so that gives me one more lantern than I had earlier today... Sure would make an awesome picture.

Well, Dean...it was only a suggestion...but if it's to happen it is going to require anyone with a Coleman lantern or 10 to bring them in order to break 101 lanterns....make sure they are in running condition, as there's no time to get everyones working like it ought to. I do know that some of us will be bringing up some vintage gas stoves etc...for display...if you've got one to bring, please do.

Hopefully Dean Bessom won't be bringing his "coleman hammer"....a very large block of wood on a handle that functions as a mallet...he hates the Coleman lanterns..."too bright"....beware of Dean B!

Doug,
Between Yourself, Teardrop Focus, Starleen, Lee and Kevin... You guys could easily break the record, everyone else will just bolster it.
I say let's attempt a World Record!!!
Dust off and tune up your Colemans folks!!!

I'll bring my bright and shiney,1010, IRG 3.0 Teardrop Spirit Award, Commerative Edition Coleman lantern, but there ain't no way I'm gonna light it up. It just wouldn't look right, all used and smokey, proudly back on display on my old Hoosier cabinet in my den. However, I'll bring my Dad's old Coleman stove along. (I'll remember this time, Doug).

I'm really looking forward to this great event, and anyone who is even remotely considering attending, should definately plan to do so. Oh yes, bring along your finest derby racer, because the more entrys my down-hill speeder can eliminate, just puts me one step closer to the ultimate "First Prize" trophy! Where else can you see 200 plus people cheering on their favorite 4" x 8" creations, where even brother against brother, have been known to strive for the ultimate winner's award? See you there, with bells on.
8) :? Roly, (hey, after all, coming in second, ain't that bad)

Don't bother bringing a derby racer...the track went up in flames at the 2010 event....time for a change up....Doug

Thing is....no propane, no battery lamps if it's a record your going for.
Let's just see who is planning on coming and what they can bring.

I think that one is safe....just not enough gas lantern people here to pull that one off, unless those of us that have them bring absolutely every one and that's not going to happen.
