Kuffel Creek First Build!!

Postby jande » Mon Jan 09, 2012 3:06 pm

My wife and I have started our first build and are having a GREAT time!!!
We went with the kuffel creek plans for the 8 ft cubby. The detailed plans have taken ALOT of the guess work out!

We are making pretty good progress (I think) This is the end of day 4!

The Kuffel Creek plans are what we used to start. It was a great base. We made adjustments using info from here, and we love our completed project. Good luck and have fun.

I started with his plans and supplemented with the Generic Benroy plans at the top of this page.

It worked well.

I too started out with the kuffle creek cubby manual but I deviated from it. I did refer to it often during my build though.

name

Postby jande » Tue Jan 10, 2012 10:42 pm

We are trying to come up with a name for our camper. All my wifes names have the word "turd" in them. Lil Rabbit Turd is her most recent suggestion. This may prove to be th hardest part of the project! :D

me too....

Postby mike_c » Sun Jan 22, 2012 8:00 pm

I'm using the KC 10 ft Comet plans as a point of departure, although most of the changes I've made so far are cosmetic rather than structural. I widened the frame to 56 inches, and my cabin cabinets and galley probably won't look like Kevin Hauser's when I'm done, but I agree-- having the plans for a reference has been invaluable. It's helped me keep the work organized, and reminded me that I have to think about where I'll be in the future before I glue and screw something today!

I've very happy that I bought the KC plans.
