I am not sure the Gold Bond Series even exists in real life. I have never seen one in the real world. Its not like I am not looking. ( Double Negative) So if I find one I will hit it with a tranq dart and take it home for further research.

Yes, yes, I want to let go of my old socks; however, I don't want them to go to waste when there is a good ecological use for them. I want to send them to you and prevent the unnecessary purchase and use of non recyclable shoe covers. You seem to reject the notion that my feet are clean and after a through washing my socks are reasonably sanitary and suitable for recycling.

Get over it!!!!

Cheers,

Gus

So I guess the idea of wrapping them up in old underwear is just right out?

Ok.....what about lanterns???

What I really mean, is how do you guys transport and protect your lanterns? If folks are packing up tons of lanterns for IRG, how are you all getting them there safely?? I doubt everyone has a case for each one

Sorry.. I had to bail out of that message early. Work gets in the way...no breaks...

But now I have a few minutes for lunch SO....

Anyone have cases or other protective equipment for your lanterns that you have devised yourself. I'm sure some have lantern cases that go with the really cool lanterns. I even have them for the propane ones. But nothing for the 200a or my 220f.

Lazybones has those milspec boxes..anyone make anything like that? I was thinking of making some globe covers from old sox..no, old underw....no, I mean some remnants of neoprene.

Anyone got any ideas on this? I know Kirk has a bundle of lanterns to get to IRG if he can make it and I hope to have a few. It would be great to have something safe to transport them to all these Colman Keepers lightings in!

Gus.....you crack me up. I don't e en know what to say..I was going to tell you to go to the tree and get a switch cuz you're in for a butt warming, but you are just too dang funny!

Ok, you get a waffle dog if you have your own iron.

Which Kirk does not. And neither do I!

I just bought a clone at sportsmans warehouse. It not a "waffle" dog iron, but the closest I have seen. 15 bucks

Trust me. I speak with "straight tongue" about owning a waffle dog iron.

If and when I recover from my latest bout with the "suicide disease", I'll visit a foundry in "California's beautiful San Fernando Valley" and see how much it would cost to have em cast. A little drilling, tapping, and handle fabrication would be required but for the "die hard" enthusiast it would be a lot more cost effective than buying one.
