Hi we have been looking at teardrops for the last 2 years and have decided to build one this next winter. We have relay enjoyed this site and all the posts. We would love to make it to one of the meets in CA this supper if we are allowed to bring our tent :( so we can see all the good ideas and meet the crew!

Kristian and Mandy, welcome to the forum. I would help the rest of us, if we knew where you are located here in the good ol' USA. You could well have a teardropper living close to you. There is a great Gathering at Lake Shasta, where you can get all kinds of info about trailers and such. Bring a tent, or what ever suits you, all are welcome. Just click on the Destinations link at the top of the page, and you can get the date and info needed.

There is another event you should consider, as walk-ins are always welcome. It is at Lake Perris, in So Calif. This one is the biggest all-teardrop gathering that I know of, there could be well over 100 TDs there. So, if you are in this neck of the woods, stop by, walk from galley to galley, ask questions, and share the wonderful companionship of the teardrop family. Hey, I'll even be there to welcome you. Good luck.

We are in Sacramento, and we are sitting here discussing the Lake Shasta meet.

Welcome to the board....There is enough help and information to build your Teardrop without ever seeing one in person. I did it just from the info I found here. So if you can't get to a gathering just get started planing and ask questions as you go. Post plenty of pictures cause we like to follow along. Good luck!

I would highly recommend the Dam Gathering in Lake Shasta. We went for the first time last year and can't wait until this year. Have met a lot of great folks from Ca, OR and NV in the last couple of years. You won't regret it! We went to our first gathering camping in the back of our RAV4 in a snowstorm and had a great time.
