I ordered the width and asked her what was the typical length . I am wondering what you all typically use I just sent the order I am going to be talking to her on the phone when she gets it.

Now i am confused i thought the width was what mesurement from the trailer and the lenght was how long you needed to mount to the trailer
the awning i have on my kenskill is 6ft by 6ft if i remember correctly

I had a pic of the cross members in my album...way back...this works great as the awning will support itself and you don't need to use any guy ropes on it, unless it's really windy. You have to have Marti, sew some pockets into the underneath side to accept the glass tent rods and a center piece of velcro to hold them centered. I used some old shock corded tent poles.

When you fit up the poles...there is some guessing as to where the "sweet" spot is to support the whole thing...too short and it will want to collapse, won't fall, but will drop down. This method is limited on the size of the awning it will support. I think my awning on the Nomad is a 7x7 and it works fine on it. No guarantee on any larger. Doug

Outside of the vertical support poles...that's all there is....if it's too breezy...a milk jug full of water tethered to the top spike on the pole through the grommet and sitting at the base of the pole does the trick. You have to ask her to put the pockets in though...she doesn't just do it unless you ask. Calm and slightly breezy weather is fine...a major wind, It will lift the whole top and come off the poles...use your judgment and experience will show you what you can get away with. What I like is that it won't gather rain water. Doug

Pad the ends on the tent poles with some wraps of electrical tape to minimize any tear out on the pouches she sews in.
