Hey y'all, My name is Jody. My friends call me Jo Jo. I've been brainstorming about how to build a custom camper to meet the needs of my wife and I. We've been camping in travel trailers for the last 24 years. Now our kids are for the most part grown and our needs are changing. I want to take our goldwing now that we can enjoy it as well.

I've been thinking about converting an enclosed trailer to a camper/toy hauler. We don't need ALL the aminities of a real camper but we would like a sink, fridge, bed/couch, closet, tv, surround , air, and heat.

My goal is to keep it as light as possible. I think a minimum of 14 feet and most probably 16 w/a v nose. I've spent countless hours thinking and searching the internet for layout ideas and until recently couldn't find much. This forum showed up in a search and I'm so glad. I know it's primarily about teardrops but the section on converting trailers is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm glad this board is active too. \

If I decide to go for this, I'm sure I'll be picking your brains.

welcome, I like the idea of converting an existing, too, could I find one cheap (relative term I know)

That's my hang up now $$$$. I found just what I want. A used 7x16x7 tall but it's 4 g's.
