Back in 1960 when I joined the Navy my father said he didn't really read
my letters home as much as he deciphered them.

I use IESPELL to check my post easy and works great.

I refuse to talk to a machine.

:fb

And I dislike cell phones in general, and hate the idea of "texting"

hey wolf, tell us how you really feel!

droid, yes you did jinx it. plus he is just a baby, so you have it coming.

i had a cat named jinx. got him and his brother when both could fit in the palm of my one hand. got em both while stationed in cuba. they traveled all over with us, even to portugal and back. jinx died at 16yrs and his brother 1 yr later at 17. i miss those two.

And to think I am a bit of a computer "nerd". Also spent 9 years in tech support for Dell. Most of them in servers. It is a wonder I still use computers and phones after that.

my brother is a puter geek. worked for hp for a good many years. they recently turned their jobs over to the overseas folks. my brother was basically fired. they told him to train these overseas guys or they would not give him his deaprture bonus. i forget what country he said the work/tech support would go thru now.

Hmmm, I could make all kinds of accusations. But I think it will much funnier to let the politicians do it.

My current company recently started using HP for all IT support. When I dial my local help desk, the phone is answered somewhere on the sub-continent. And of course, English is about their 3rd language.

But its cheaper for them to hire someone that is paid 50% less money but due to communication issues spends 250% of time getting to resolution vs the 100% paid person.........outsourcanomics a failed philosophy lol but the kickbacks are good for the upper echelons so nothing changes
