I got 3.69 inches of rain at the doghouse since this time yesterday.
Lake Lavon, where my city gets its water, was 12-feet low yesterday, and 10-feet low today.
We still need a lot of rain before the normal dry summer, but January has given us six inches. That's very unusual for January here.
We used to have two lakes to draw from, but one is infested with zebra muscles, which destroy water transport and treatment systems. So, that lake is shut down, which means we need a full Lake Lavon by mid June, because we normally get very little rain from then until October. Even full, we will have water restrictions, but only level one or two, at worst.
Almost all of our lakes in North Texas are man-made reservoirs. That's where we get almost all our water.
We may get a little more tonight, but it should be less than an inch.
