:DOH2: Wish I could clear out my head.....been home for the last four days with a Monster of a head cold. Just taking it easy and trying to recover. Got the weekend coming up to get rid of the congestion.

Today was a beautiful, sunny day here. The area had the fourth driest December on record, but not to be too concerned as the past two weeks brought it all back so we are averaging around normal. No drought status for us at this time.

Hope all is going well for you guys. Write and send pictures when you can.

Wish I could say the same about lack of drought in the Sacramento area. If things don't pick up soon we will be in a very bad drought this summer. :(

8) Good morning from sunny Florida.
We have cooled off to normal temps with lots of sunshine. It should be a perfect weekend for race fans at Daytona and the 24 hr. race.

WE should have a high of 74 today and cooling for the next few days.

This week at WDW will be very slow...I an only working 11 hours for the week...not by choice.

Make it a great day where you are.

8) Sunny Saturday here on the nw coast. Dean and his son went out crabbing today and did well. They distributed the freshly caught & steam cooked little buggers to family and friends. Dean had a couple of crab melts. Lucky for him his kids and I don't eat crab.

I spent most of the day still taking it easy-at least the headache is gone. I hope tomorrow, SUNday, will be just that.

Some serious changes going on in the weather patterns.....and how about those solar storms??!! Did any of you get to witness the spectacular light show that has happened in the northern skies (Northern Lights) as they are some of the best and farthest reaching that have occurred in recent years.

Sure pray that you are feeling better!!

You can send some of that good food my way if you would like. I will make sure that it is consumed properly! It is surprising how different the seafood from coast to coast.

Thanks for the update and God Bless.

UP UP UP!!!!!!!!! Yes indeedy it is that time to rise and face your maker........ (Maker Mark hehehehe) And who had a nice weekend - got the older boy to brew his second beer - did a maibock. Nice job and this will be a big beer - ABV arounf 8.5% Should be ready by March......

well the floors got finished and we started to put the house back together. Actually refinished the dining room table. That thing - solid teak - was really beat up - water stains and scratch - well after 30years it held up well. Anyway grab the orbital sander 120 - 220 grit - and sanded off all the wear and tear. Then I got a finish - WATCO TEAK OIL and following the direction - poured a big puddle on the top and spread it around. Well after 12+hours - this looks real nice. Brought it back to life.

 Now on to the sideboard.............

Well enjoy your day.

Good morning.
That brew sounds real good...congrats!!

Wood is a lot of fun to work with as a friend and I just finished making a large toolbox custom designed and built. To bad he does not have any kids to pass it on to. It will last for a couple of generations at least.

We are in the low 70s today with a warming trend on the way.

Make it a great day!

Rod  8)

so is everyone still in bed

It's perhaps too late to say rise and shine.. if you are not up yet.. maybe staying in bed wouldn't matter much.. :D

Hmm I have not done much except go for a "nasty" bike ride today. I did a very hilly mountain bike ride on frozen snowmobile trails.. with two of the better racers in the state... I am toast... :o

Thanks Rod

Yesterdays ride was very humbling. For a few years now I have done this ride once a year with these guys. This years it left me with mixed feelings. I think I did better than I have before... but I have also been working very hard.. and have lost a bit of weight. Yet I was also sort of disappointed at how much it hurt... :o

They were just riding and not pushing it very hard.. but one of them is 20 years my junior .. and only about 130 pounds..

My race is an endurance event.. and would be ridden at a little slower pace.. and I do have 5 and a half months before the race.
