I have always wanted some kind of camper and ran across this site in the middle of the night. Now I'm building a teardrop after being inspired by all of you. My Dad is 75 and losing his sight and I wanted something we could build together,I'm a machinist and he's big into woodworking so this just fit.Maybe I'll start a build thread,I know I'm going to need a little help. Thanks for such a great site.

Hi Barry

This forum has all the info you'll need for your project. I think it's great that you and your dad will be doing this build together and yes you really need to start a build thread. Good luck.

Hi Barry!

Welcome, from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC! I found this site a few years ago, while looking at pop-up and other small campers online. Then I caught the "bug". Lot of great folks and good info here. What a great Father/Son project! Keep us posted!

Thanks for the welcome.

Hey Alfred,I was in your neck of the woods last year on my motorcycle.Rode out to the BRP and hit one of the worst storms right at the sign for the highest point.Tucked tail and rode to Asheville for a couple days to wait the rain out.Next time I will have my "hotel room" hooked to the back of my car.
