Thought I would post up this link and you guys can go look at the actual build thread.

Not quite a teardrop, but I know many of you on here are supremely handy with a torch and grinder.

This is a friend of mine, Ian, who I will just say tends to still get on with life, despite being dealt a really bum hand.

He tends to do what some would call "Outback Engineering" making stuff out of nothing, and creating some ingenious solutions along the way.

I hope you guys like what you see, and also maybe even register on retro Rides to make a comment if you like what you see, or if you have some advice for Ian and the guys who share his drinking and creating time.

I do agree, here they are also often called "Bodgers" as they use that skill of making stuff work and using scrap to generate new function for new applications.

When I see threads like these, I always try to share them with people on other forums..... so if you are into steam trains, home brewing, whatever, just cross post and share it, most of us can only shake our heads at this sort of work.

Thanks for the "English" lesson. I googled bodgers, but most references are about the chair leg makers. I guess the term has mutated a little over the years.

I was looking at a map, and it looks like you're about 180 miles from where my family came from. Ilchester, near Yeovil. Someday I hope to visit and see where our humble beginnings were.
