Hi all
Being a retro kind of guy I've always had a thing for teardrops, Vardos and Airstreams.
I've also been threatening to take the family to Etosha Pans in Namibia (about 2000 miles north of here I guess) for quite a while -- and that's finally happening towards the end of this year.
So last week two random thoughts collided and I realised that rather than rent or borrow or even build a standard trailer, why not build a teardrop? A small one, and also a quick and dirty one, because October is not so far away. At the moment I'm thinking to construct it like Big Al's one over on the .uk list. An A frame chassis, shutterboard over, shutterboard sides, covered in what we call aliminium over here. At this stage I'm leaning towards the Aero 96 shape.
Still trying to figure out how the corner trim and the trim around the hatch works.
Will be towing this behind a Golf IV estate this trip, most likely.
