Hi. I'm new here.

My name is John and I have a camping problem. I can't seem to find the time to get out there enough.
I enjoy going out camping with my friends as much as possible in our VW camper busses but I'm out of room. My bus has two double beds and a Childs cot that hangs over the front seats. The thing is for a three day camp I find myself with tons of stuff in the floor that I have to move and store when I get to the camp site. My wife and I are NOT small people and take a bed each and my 20 month old son will stay in the cot soon but not for ever. My thought is to build a tear drop cause I LOVE the shape and lighter weight. I want to use it as a cargo trailer and in the future for my son to have a place to sleep.
I look forward to picking your collective brains in the future.

What's "in the way"

If it is the cooking stuff, food stuff ,coolers ,tentage, pop ups ,campstoves, ect. maybe a chuckwagon type trailer might be the answer. They are fairly small , lightweight and would be easy for the VW to pull and are a true joy to make camp cooking SOOOO very organized. It's also a great tailgating party center.

This would leave all the VW interior or sleeping.

Howdy, where are you from John. We have a 6 wide and we are not little people. Our little dude has for the most part moved out into a tent. He will be turning six in June. You will be surprised what you can do with a little trailer.

Thank y'all very much for the warm welcome.
I said I would build a teardrop but now...
I may have to rethink that after looking at some of the builds on here. I'll just have to decide which one is more in my skill set. I do know there is lots of good ideas and tips to be had here for those willing to look and listen.
