I go to that album and can click multiple time on any of the images and get it showing by itself - the url should look something like this: gallery/image.php?album_id=15&image_id=87779&view=no_count (important that it ends with the "no_count")

Do you see this below the picture in the album after you click on it one time??

Image

If so, you should be able to copy the url from there and paste it into your post then use the img tags.

gallery/image.php?album_id=15&image_id=87831

this is what happens when i click the image url, i am not getting the whole thing then, if there is a symbol after the number and the no count. so that seems to be my problem. so how do i get the whole thing. this is crazy.

Image

well i got it, only because i added that stuff, but i shouldn't have to do that. up top is what shows, then i add the plus sign and everything else.

You added what stuff to what exactly. Sorry, but I am trying to understand what is happening.

If you put the img tags around this http://www.tnttt.com/gallery/image.php?album_id=15&image_id=87831 you should get the picture. (without the no_count at the end)

OK, maybe I am getting it now. You are saying that when you click on the Image-URL link that is there (starting with http://) and copy it, that when you paste it in a post that the whole url link is not there??

i know its hard to explain. when i click on the image, i can see the 'image url', i can click on that, copy and paste here. this is what i get
gallery/image.php?album_id=15&image_id=87831

it does not show the 'no count'
it does not show the img tags

but i can type them in manually myself (does that make sense) and the pic will show. is that how you are doing it? actually typing all the extra stuff?
this is so confusing to me, for me personally i'll stick with photobucket.

When you paste it into your post and it is still highlighted, go to the tabs acrossed the top of the post window and click the Img tag - this should put the img tags at the beginning and end of the url string. You should not need the no_count at the end in this case.

Hope that makes sense. :)

ok will admit that one took me a while to figure out. i haven't finished my first cup of tea yet. i also had to really search my brain and the screen to figure out what img button/tag you where talking about. but i do see it and i did get it.

now i do not think i will ever beable to tell someone else how to do this at all.

thanks toypusher for being so patient with me.

Sorry about all the confusion, but I did not understand exactly what you were doing, so I could not tell how to fix it. If you copy the url from the Image-URL box under the pic then the no_count does not need to be there. That is only when the picture is in the browser all by itself. I guess that the no_count thing really messed you up on this.

I also use photobucket and now realize that the img tags are part of it when you hit copy to paste it somewhere else. :duh:

yeah photobucket you just click on it, don't even have to hit copy. its automatic. then just come here and hit paste. done. easy peasy. but that doesnt help with forum galleries. :( glad we got thru this one. :?

There is still another issue with pictures.

If you are not logged in, you can't see the pictures.

Don't know if this change is intentional or not?

If not (for the admins):

Go into Manage Users
select the Anonymous user
Select the Preferences page in the upper-right dropdown
set "Display images within posts" to Yes.
