Sure MJ,

I was talking about the first one you posted... and the 18650 batteries... I'm a rechargeable kind of guy, so I wondered if they came in rechargeables?

Mike, these are the batts I am using...and they are rechargeable and protected...ALWAYS use protected Li-Ion batts, otherwise they can can "blowup" on ya...
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/trustfire- ... pack-20392
...this is the best price(by far) I have found on these and they are available from other vendors as well..........
...as far as the lumens go, in one spot they state 90 lumens...having used led flashlites for a few years, I can confirm the lite is brighter than that and is the brightest flashlite I have ever used....

That's perfect MJ. I'm going to get 2 flashlights, and plenty of batteries!

I can definitely confirm that if your flashlight gets too bright, it gets uncomfortable.

And it goes without saying that you don't want to blind people by shinning one of those superbright flashlights into someone's eyes.

I can personally confirm, these lites are as bright as any of the SureFire tactical flashlites the po-po use and if you look into it, you will see nothing but spots for a time...maybe a long time :? .......

...FYI on the numeric designation of those type batts...the first 2 digits are the cross-section in millimeters...the second two are the length in millimeters and the last # indicates its shape(round/flat/etc)...........

That's an interesting tidbit. So it's bigger than a AA which is 14mm.

A C sized battery is 26mm.

I got 2 new D-cel Maglites for Christmas and was VERY suprised at how bright they were so I bought an LED upgrade for another one that I already had. It was a Terralux bulb and I wasn't very impressed, it wasn't as bright as the Maglite and was actually a wierd geen color. Spinnernut had a flashlight at MJ's gathering last year that was bright as hell, is that the one you bought, Madjack?

Jeff, the link I gave above is to the ones I bought, they are very similar to the one Mark(planovet) had...I didn't like the one Danny had because it had 5modes(hi/med/lo/strobe/sos) and you had to cycle thru all of them to get to the one you wanted or to turn off or on...the one I linked to has one mode...Hi...and it does not have an adjustable(flood/spot) bezel, it is simply on or off...and very bright..........

...the 14500s are the same size as a AA...I use 2 of them in one of my e-cigs, known as a box mod, which is about the size/shape of a box of "penny" matches(slightly larger)...the 18650s are 4mm wider and 15mm longer(25mm=1")..............mj
