That's a replacement window for a house?? Don't get me wrong, the install looks great... just don't hit any bumps. Vehicle glass is tempered for a reason; standard window glass, even double glazed, is going to crack in a heartbeat with the wrong bump.

Don't take this wrong but I'm sure after 25 years of installing windows Russ knows the difference between car and house windows.
Russ has been an inspiration to us all, he has made do with what he has after hard times came knocking on his door.
two or three winters in a windowless trailer is not something I would want to do, but Russ has endured and now he has a
nice big window which should infuse his trailer with sunshine.

BUT isn't there always a BUT?
There is nothing wrong in reminding us all about the hazards of using non-standard parts in a cargo trailer conversion.

what you may not know is that Russ lives fulltime in his and doesn't move to far from his "home" site.

I don't know about that. I see many a house trailers being moved from factory to site without taped up windows as they travel down the highways and that includes front/hitch windows in bows that are not taped up as it rolls down the highway at 55 mph and they are not phased and breaking out or apart.

I will let you know as to how it goes. Also if installed correctly they are not tight in the frames and mine is actually floating/cushioned on rubber blocks in the vynal frame. I travel fixing glass in homes and the way I lay the glass it takes a lot of shock in the back of my truck without breakage as I roll down some back country roads to customers job sites. Been in the window/glass business since October 1979 and no problems of glass breaking.

By the way do you install windows for a living?

On a side note: Tempered glass was installed in automobiles for safety reasons to give a better chance of surviving a crash as the glass will break into billions of pieces and do less damage to the body then regular broken glass that can become shaped like daggers that can kill the occupants inside a vehicle in a crash.

Russ, you probably already know this.

There is a film that can be added to windows that will hold them together even if they break. In parts of California, really old sliding glass doors on old houses can't be sold until the film is added. This is always an option, should you choose.

Seems like you are always making your trailer a bit better. $55/month for heat in a Penn winter is cheap, ha! I'm sure the window adds a lot but you gotta work on the view!

For the price I pay rent and taxes saved its a good exchange. I have to move a bit by 100 feet to the south more to make that dumpster smaller .
