Things that don't fit anywhere else...

wonder if there's any truth to the idea that you can in fact deprive people of oxygen enough that they're unconscious? seems like i've read that a tear closed up too tight's a deathtrap right here on this board, before.

Can't believe no one turned this into a phart joke hijacking yet... :gas:

Did you hear about the obese guy in Fort Lauderdale that they found dead in his rooming house? Seems he had started a fad diet that week eating nothing but cabbage. Anyway, as the story goes it was a small airtight room, and the abundance of flatulent gases displaced all the oxygen as he slept, therefore suffocating him.....

truth or urban legend? I dare not guess.......

George I'm with Jack on this one until driving a truck I had never heard of such a thing. However, after a short time on the road I heard of "stories" but that is all never first hand. Did have a friend that was beat by a guy jumping down from the cat walk on the tractor.

George, With the answers you have given to some of the responses, I would suggest that you have studied this enough to be able to make up your own mind.

He's just Stirring the pot. I guess George was getting bored with the way the board was going. He just doesn't understand that 'Pot Stirring' is my job.

Have a good day.

Yep, yep, yep  By the way, how was your weekend. All it did here in sunny Southern California was snow, rain, snow and rain some more. And it's colder than a well diggers rear end. :( (Boy did I clean that up.) ;)

Have a good day.

That's where I store my tent while in transit. Must admit that it has been described as a lot of things b4 but not snow skis  I will put up a new post tomorrow with a couple of pics. Right now I'm going to hit the sack.

Hi Paul

Yes I have studied this a lot for UK and europe, I am not out to stir though, I just wanted to find out if these stories were going around in US.

Seems they are, but very rare and not taken that seriously (not really believed).

There are to many facts that make it impossible to be true, but it doesnt stop the rumours over here, even after you explain the facts some folks still say "well you never know"

Seems like it would be much easier just to walk in (the locks on many motorhomes are crummy), boink the owners on the head with something, then rob them as opposed to bothering with gassing them.

On the other hand, who would rob a teardrop owner? Our rigs are so small, we often look quite poor. It's likely they'd leave a ten dollar bill taped to the door instead.

We're so poor that we have to camp in a homemade trailer.

I saw a bumper sticker on the door of a big motorhome that said, "85% of RV owners carry a gun". That's all it said. It didn't say if THAT RV owner had one, but I'm willing to bet it wouldn't be safe to walk in in the middle of the night. I wonder what the bad guys think when they see that unit unoccupied.
