I think it's been over 20 years since I made a quilt. I forgot enough that I screwed up and ended up having to change my design from Irish Chain to Rail Fence. Got a little too rotary cutter happy. Oops! And my rail fence blocks were 1/2 inch too small so I ended up cutting down all the solid and print squares.

But I think it turned out OK. Made pillow cases to match using the inside out method from directions that I found online. That was fun and fast!
I assembled the top, made a quilt sandwich using batting and a sheet for backing fabric. Then I had a friend do the quilting for me on her long-arm machine because I just HAVE to get my bookwork done here at the shop

! Then spent last evening sewing the border down by hand.
NOW, all I have to do is finish the teardrop so I can display it in its proper place.
Hope you like it...two winters in the making.
