Kept trying to figure what to do to support the bed.
Had a brain fart that simple would work, so I notched the cross brace for a 2 x 3 with a simple leg in front and over the water tank.



It pulls out 22 inches and hits stops in the water tank cubby



The the back board for the couch lays across in and sits on cleats on wall,
The cleats were previosly installed because I knew I needed them



Holds my 200 lbs+ no problemo



Then I cut down a tabletop I had and mocked it up under the window,
Notice the indefinatly adjustable table leg to level table out if the campsite is not level, 20 tonn should handle that task sufficiently me thinks.
I think it will work out for morning coffee and cards/Yahtzee in the evening
have 2 light Bistro chairs that will probably be used here. Should be able to get up and have a coffee without making the bed back up into a couch.

Well I really hated how I mounted the switxh for the fan and the battery monitor.



So today i cut a panel Positioned everything and then cut the holes, Still didn't completely like it so got out my trusty knife and chissel and counter sunk everything.
Why use a router when a knife and chissel will do? Not only that it takes longer that way so it killed my afternoon.
Much better...



Battery status and momentary switch for battery mon and on - off - on momentary switch for fantastic fan and I made a switch plate out of Diamond plate and painted black

Decided on no clock as I don't wear a watch cause I could care less what time it is, so when I'm camping I care even less

so when you have your couch in bed form how much walking around space do you have...enough for someone to mget up and make a pot of coffee? as for the gauges do you plan on putting in more like for solar or anything like that..I think it is amazing that you turned a garbage scow into a land yacht

Thanks, goes all the way back to high school Auto Class, when I brought in my 1966 Ford Econoline pick-up that I bought for $50.
Auto teacher says, ya can't make a chocolate bar out of a piece of chit.
Next fall, brought in my trophy from a local car show and told him to put it where the sun don't shine :0

And yup, have 5 feet of floor space with bed down, table still accessable from 2 sides, will eventually have a 30" cabinette with sink and two burner cooktop that will be between the closet/potty wall and edge of bed. So should work out I hope

Would have been much easier to start with a fresh flat floor, but hey, ya work with what ya got

Would hold a some drawers, kitchen cubby, and counter space, below it would be main counter with sink and fridge and cooktop.
This is of course after using it for staorage all summer then being dragged to Alberta.

Chris so glad your moving out this way your talents are being wasted way out east like that I have so many ideas to talk to you about I just don't know where to start love the animation of your trailer have you seen the trailer called "The Castaway" I found it was very inspiring for trailer ideas.What programs do you use to design the pictures that you do as I've seen some cool images and would like to do a little tweaking of my own.keep up the good job on your trailer

Well cut the hole and test fit,

Once I fit the handsprayer should be great for washing hair and brushing teeth, seein as I dont have room for a sink


Gonna be nice this weekend weather wise so time to get the holding tank in.
One problemo has cropped up though, My stabalizer jacks interfer with the holding tank by about an inch, so off they have to come.
Oh well If I can't get them back there I'll move them to the front and rethink the back jacks.
Lots of rethinkin involved in this project.
Then the boss made me rethink, or not get fed, ever again, soooooooo!!!!!

Got the holding tank installed today



Was pretty tight for this big tank, had to take existing fittings off repair crack and mount new stub and valve, not really where I wanted to have the valve, but the simplest, just behind the back bumper, had to cut out the half moon so a hose can be hooked up



I've got over 13 inches of road clearance on the lowest point of the valve, AAnd I will be going to higher profile tires so shouldn't hit it on anything



Wanted to do the vent up the other side of toilet but ran into a frame member, will elbow back and across then up through roof.
When I put sink in for kitchenette, it will tee into the vent and go into the black tank, unless I find another tank to go between the axels. But one tank should suffice for weekending. Might two way the kitchen sink, so if we are able to, can run it on the ground



Toilet is permanently installed, Just complete vent and the loo is done

Did have to move the stabilizer jacks I had to the front, was just not enuff room with the tank in to keep them on the back. May go scissors on the back, which I hate or possible drop down jacks bolted on the back corners

Well got the underbelly on and no black sticky goo required. God I hate that stuff, especially if you need to work down there later, it always haunts you.
Used 2 sheets of Coroplast, Cheap, very light, easy to work with, not sticky, no varsol required or horrible to work in plastic gloves.
Screwed it to the bottom of the frame to protect the styrofoam using aluminum carpet to lino transition strips I had kickin around.
Any bits and piece of aluminum cut offs, your waste would work fine
Another thing is it lessons turbulents under the trailer with a much more areo surface.
Now just need to plug the truck in and hope I didn't hit any of my wireing...., but its all in conduit so hopefully I'm good







Thank god this weather is so nice, been wanting to get that done .
Only thing left to do underneith is wire the brakes and a bit more paint

Think I'm just going to get another sheet of red aluminum, continue to the bottom, match the charcoal rocker stripe on the truck
Shouldn't cost much to get decals made up

Well, installed the drinking water filter and a temp instal of the tap
FIlled the water tank, hit the pump and checked everything, all good





Then she needed to go shopping, we found a folding chair on sale for her, the blue one, $9, I might get one tomorrow
Rigged up the table semi permanent till I get a floor plug and leg



Then She picked out a Futon for the trailer, goes pretty good



and comphy too



Then in another store she was diggin through a pile of door matts and found the perfect entry matt for the trailer



Just have to put the stink pipe vent through the roof tomorrow and wire the brakes.
Gonna go for a test pull on friday up to Cyprus Lake National park, 60 miles each way, see if it falls apart on the side of the road

Burn up all my scrap wood from the build

Now I have to find my coolers and colman black cat heater
