Got some more done on the boat this weekend. I covered the mesh on the sides of the inside with some old bed sheets. It really made a much smoother surface. I tried to take a close-up to show but it rally didn't come out to well, but here is a picture with the leftside covered with sheets.

I also used some 8" strips of sheets to cover the seems where the canvas stops, and some more vinyl spackling to smooth out the bottom where the mesh strips were bumped up. It looks alot better. Sorry no pictures.

I did some sanding on the 1st coat of lagging compund and it smoothed out quite a bit and did not gum up the sand paper at all. Then I put the final coat of lagging on the exterior. I'm off work next Sunday and if the weather cooperates am planning on taking it out for a test run then! Once I figure out where the best battery placement will be, I'll finish the interior and paint the whole thing
Glen if you want to make take a field trip up to Bayou St. John there will be beer ( although probably less then the required 500 lbs ballast)
