I built this teardrop on a 5 X 8 utility trailer frame and extended the cabin 2 extra feet. It was built 3 years ago, but I added the aluminum skin last spring. I'm in the Coast Guard and being transferred and can't take the teardrop with me. It's pretty basic inside, so there's lots of room for someone to customize the interior. I built it to hold a queen size mattress and also put in a loft for my kid, otherwise, there's no other cabinets or shelving inside. There's no electrical, but I put in two skylights and a roof vent. The whole trailer, except the bottom deck is insulated and it proved plenty warm enough for us up in Washington. The back hatch has a hurricane hinge to access the cooking area and I put two stabilizing jacks on the aft end. The wooden sides do take some maintenance (have to touch up the polyurethane in spots every year or so). But the trailer is in good shape, I kept it in the garage or under a canopy when not in use. The "Front" picture shows a dimple on the Al skin. This was due to poor trailering but is cosmetic only. The camper is also very light (I originally built it for a 4 cylinder car to tow).
