I found a scotty highlander today and ran into the owner at lunch. He told me it was used for hunting several years ago, but had been retired because of its shape. he told me to take a look at it and call him. i went to look at it and it is in need of a total resto., however it is all there, even all the windows. I called him back and all of a sudden he wants to research it, now it becomes valuable. I know its worth whatever he can get out of it, but how much would you guys invest?

I wouldn't go too far over $500. If it needs a full restoration, you will put in, in time and cash, what it will be worth. Having all the parts and pieces is good. People love these things, it seems they sell well and have pretty good value. I don't see a lot of these for sale here but when I do, they are not around long. I am always on the lookout for these and kick myself when one gets away.
