Well, I've had a big setback. The custom trailer place I had counted on is refusing to build me a frame. They think that if it's not a stock item made for that and I put a box on it and wreck it that it will somehow come back on them. They also seem to think that 2" tubing is too small for what I need. They encouraged me to go with a massive 7' wide (not including wheels - then 9' wide) flatbed model sitting on the lot. They'll be happy to sell me all of the parts if I can get someone else to weld it. Hmph. I was hoping to have a frame by spring break (April 7-14) so I could get going on this. Time to look for Plan B.

[edit] Plan B is already falling into place with another place, not nearly as close, but he's done this type of thing before. I didn't think anybody would be around so late on a Friday afternoon, but I lucked out. I'll be able to meet with him tomorrow morning
