Ran across this at a friend's house today, he ignored me when I suggested that he give it to me,
It screams that it should be in a teardrop or vintage trailer. I have never seen another one like it.

Wow, neat radio.

Did your friend give it to you or are you going to have to steal it?

That's really cool! I don't think I've ever seen one like that!

And yes, it belongs in a teardrop. Your friend should release it to where it really belongs...

That style radio is called "art deco". I did a quick search for "replica art deco radios" and found some.

Close but no cigar.

A longer, more thorough search might find something closer to what you are looking for.

Or, if his is a new replica of an old art deco radio, maybe your friend could tell you where he got it. Right now, he appears to be just having fun with you.

if you go on to the instructables web site there are instructions on how to make your own radios...all depends on your skill level

It appears to be a one off that someone built for a old chassis.Just find a old AA5 chassis and build a custom cabnet for it the All American 5 chassis is easy to recap and work pretty good if you like AM. 8)
