I can"t help it I've decided to come camping anyway without a camper.Got a small tent since i gave up my spot maybe i can double up with some one. i will be by myself Joycalyne want tent camp.

Glad you are coming. How "small" is your tent. I have a 7 X 7 tent that is high-wind ready. You can borrow it.

There are lots of leaves at BB to put under a tent to protect the bottom, too.

That reminds me, I need to remember to toss a rake in the car.

Is anyone besides me bringing a hose? We'll need to wash down the tables before pot luck, and I only have about 25 feet of hose.

I talked to Eddie Smelly a couple days ago, and he said they are not going to make it up there, because he has to go to Amarillo on business. So, it that holds, we will have another space open, although I'm hoping something changes and they can make it.

Since this is our first Beavers Bend trip.... and I saw reference to a potluck... what's the scoop? I just bought a new 12" DO and need to break it in. I'm guessing potluck dinner Saturday? What about breakfast Saturday morning? I have a recipe for Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls that is really good.

Morning all, just looking at the weather forecast for this weekend, looks like we'll have great weather. If what the Nat Weather Service is forecasting between now and Thurs comes true, we might be wading water though, 8-10'' of rain Anybody know if our loop ever floods?
I should be rolling in there after noon on Thurs.

I was hoping that some of the more experienced BB'ers would have jumped in by now, but Saturday night is the big group gathering. There is a nice pavillion where we all bring a dish or two to share with everyone else. I'm not one of them, but Caseydog, Planovet, mechmagn, CocaCola Teardrop and many others are fantastic cooks. There's always plenty of food. Please join us.

As far as Saturday morning, my wife and I usually sleep in, so I can't tell you what others do.

That campground has flooded, but from what I understand, not for long.

The worst rains should hit there tomorrow, and maybe into Wednesday. Broken Bow Lake is pretty close to it's normal level, and 24 feet short of flood level, so they probably won't need to do any drastic dam releases for this storm system.

I currently have my pork butt, and somebody else's pork loin wrapped in sausage on the Smoker. What are you thinking? There is room, but whatever you want to smoke needs to probably fit in next to a pork butt of around 8 pounds. What do you want to smoke?

If it is fish, smoking fish and meat on the same smoker at the same time doesn't work. It's like deep frying fish and french fries in the same oil.
