Hall of Fame Picture Credits

I was just looking through the hall of fame gallery and I noticed that when you get to a certain point that all photos in the gallery have a company signiture and name on them "phpbb Gallery bynickvergessen" . I don't know what's up but this company and that person did not take , compose , edit , resize or submit any of the pictures in my gallery , yet their company has a stamp on all of them . If the stamp said "TTT Gallery" then I would be OK with it . What's up ? .... D.J.

I've also seen it off and on since the rollover to the new site on one of my signature pics, and other member's signature pics or pics in threads. Some days it's there, some days it isn't.
The nickvvergessen name sometimes appears in the copyright line at the bottom of the pages...

but today it isn't there. This is a puzzlement.

Yep your right about only seeing that credit if you’re not logged on. It also only shows up on TnTTT gallery pictures. It doesn't affect pictures on web sites that you are directed to thru the HOF (such as mine). Mike needs to look into this. I'm just wondering if that credit shows up on pictures posted within a thread posting from our TnTTT gallery. I'll have to check. So the picture below is just a test pic. Yep, it shows. Mike, log out and then look at the pic I posted here and you'll see what we're talking about. I sure hope I don't have to dump my gallery because of this.

I worked OK for another thread where I posted a pic of my TD from my gallery using the "Insert picture from gallery" link. I haven't tried with a direct URL or a link to my site.

It's a default water mark image for the photogallery - it only appears when you are not logged in. nickvvergessen is the developer mod. I'm sure Mike will change it and upload a new watermark

The thing is if you don’t ask for permission you have no right to water mark someone else’s picture, whether it be default or otherwise. At least that's the way I look at it. ......

Correct, it is a watermark by the mod developer that only appears when you are not logged in.

If you recall, a few weeks ago some folks were complaining that they had to be logged in to see gallery photos. So I decided to try a test. I would make the gallery photos visible to everyone. But I can see you guys don't like that either.

So I guess my only option is to go back to not seeing photos when you are not logged in.

Mike, as for me I don't mind if that is the reason. It's just that I (we) weren't aware of it. Now that I know the reason, I'm ok with it. Perhaps some other kind of water mark could be applied that would just mess up the idea of copying the pic but doesn't give credit to someone else.

If it was just a company name or logo , that would be OK but there is a specific person taking credit for the photos . So to get this straight we want all people to see all photos . To say that we don't want others seeing the photos is unfair . What we don't want is someone else taking credit for our work . ..... D.J.

That would be good. Right across the pic. With no credit being given to someone else.

I think that this is exactly what will give people that extra push to become members. The way it is now, either they can't see the pictures or they "advertise" the BB software. I doubt that most realize that signing up would get rid of the watermark.
