Things that don't fit anywhere else...

computer software

I'm looking for a program that would allow you to add graphics to a picture. For example, I have a pic of my back porch. I would like to point out something in the picture by drawing an arrow or a circle on the object so I can send the pic to someone to show them what I'm talking about.

I thought I had a program on my computer that would allow me to do this but I can't find it.

Microsoft Paint that you already have on your computer can do that.
Go Start->Programs->Accessories->Paint

MS Word, or PowerPoint will allow you to do that.

Also, a Photoshop clone that is FREE is The Gimp.

I'm with Loan. I use MS Paint. It's free and it works! Oh, it's easy to use too! :)

Gimp works great and is free. It's a little harder to navigate than Photoshop, but not much.

Interestingly, many of the drawing apps on the iPad do exactly what you wish. Adobe Ideas, Penultimate, Whiteboard, and Sandun's Whiteboard are four that I have. There are probably others and a quick search of the iTunes App Store should reveal good choices.

These apps are convenient for all sorts of note taking and sketching along with annotating photos.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think I'll give paint a try, free is good.
