About 5 miles down Goldstream Road.
See the bottom of this page.
We even vote there! How many people vote in liquor store? :?
Alaska gathering if there is interest. If there is only 4 or 5 it could be in my woods. It's alot like camping out fulltime anyway. Outhouse. Running water? Run to the Fox Spring!

If you're coming in the summer, bring your Alaskan Perfume! (bug dope)
Doug - I stayed up late to watch the Iditarod finish on TV. From the air, your old town of Nome was lit up like NYC. :)

Apratt,

You have to put you image on the internet before you can download it here. Get a Yahoo images account (free) or a PhotoBucket acct (free). Put your picture in there. Then go to the Album link at the top of this page. Click on it and Browse to pick up your "published" picture. Then put it in your personal album on this site. Then just follow the Help with photos link at the top of the page. Sounds really complicated. (I know, it took me three months to figure it out!) Just try it.
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

You may need many many of those traps!
Dean - Here is the Alaska Marine Highway website:
It takes a fair amount of study! i.e routes, schedule, length of rig, prices, ect.
Note that your rig will be below decks & you can only access it at port calls. You can sleep in a lounge (lights off/quiet time) at night, camp on deck or rent a berth. You can bring your own food & drinks or buy them.
Also, you can go sight-see as long as you're in port (obviously). If you plan to visit a place longer, schedule to catch a later ferry. Cars are loaded according to departure.

Except for a few stragglers, the Iditirod is about over. Must say that I've enjoyed the exchange, the trail and its' detours to Dougs' old stomping grounds. :)
Rachael Scdoris, the young legally blind woman from Oregon who was denied entry two years ago and failed to finish last year, finished this morning in under 12-1/2 days!

The Norwegian couple, Tore Albrightsen and Tove Sorensen, whom I thought (one or the other) shoe-ins for 'Rookie of the Year' were run down from behind in the home stretch by Mike Jayne from Fairbanks.
Sorry about that, Viking Dean!
Time to let this thread slide away 'til next year.

You're just gonna have to put an Alaskan gathering together!
I offered my place. However, in retrospect :lightbulb: for a variaty of reasons, the place and time might be best decided by the other member Alaskans on the board and potential visitors from outside.
I'll post a thread along those lines in the Alaska section that people may contribute their thoughts.
