Up grades to a NT 5x8

Postby Armed Patriot » Sun Mar 25, 2012 7:01 pm

Looking to build o 5 x 10 Belroy with off road tires on a NT trailer. Is there anyway to extend the length from 8' to 10' and add an axle capable of highway speeds wearing 15x32 off road tires? What about axle relocation? At what point would I want to relocate the axle and how do I do it? Thanks for any input.

You can check out my build journal. viewtopic.php?f=50&t=49484 I extended the frame to 10" and moved the axle. I also have built wheel wells for slightly bigger tires.

Give red trailers dot com a call. They will sell you a bolt on extension. You could also weld on the extension if you are not comfortable with bolts.
