Tear Construction Recipes

Postby Forrest747 » Tue Mar 20, 2012 9:45 pm

Been reading alot of post about thinning urethane to watering down epoxy, to even making a paste out of sawdust and gorilla glue. So can you please give us your shop recipe for what ever you used in the construction of your tear. Thank you.

not much imagination here, after building 3 plywood boats out of it I went with PUpremium in the tube, cheap and easy to clean up compared to my usual building glue, two part Marine epoxy (west, MAS, etc.). the less working you do to it while it is drying the better as reworking it causes it to foam up. My walls are a sandwich of 1/4 ply, 1x2 and 1/4 ply, with 1" foil faced foam in the cavities, the glue makes them air and water tight.
