Oh great, I sold my woody, hopped on a plane and flew to Wisconsin, and when I got to Neceda and the Camp-Inn factory, I was told it was all a hoax. Why would anyone pull such a cruel trick on an old, unsuspecting teardrop enthusiast? Thanks Caseydog, that was a good one. Now we have a whole year to think about returning the favor. Happy April fools day.

Are you kidding me. You have obviously never been to a major gathering . The camp chairs I use every camping trip were won at a gathering and were donated by Camp-Inn. They donate hundreds of dollars in prizes for gatherings. Many a builders homebuilt trailers have a little bit of Camp-Inn in them. My trailer included.
Have you ever been to Camp-Inns CICO gathering? They give free factory tours and lots of free builders advice. Not to mention a great breakfast and homemade ice cream social. ALL FREE to well over 100 people.
Craig has personally taken time to help repair trailers for people at gatherings and offer building advice. Camp-Inn doesn't make money from that but they do it to help the teardrop community and to get people out camping in a teardrop. They helped me with a leaking hatch and electrical problems on a trailer that wasn't even built by their company. My trailer was trashed by a deer on the way home from a gathering and Craig picked it up from the repair shop inspected it for safety and delivered it to my house 3 hours away. That is a dedication to our teardrop family that is not often found these days.
Please know your facts before you speak ill of a company with the great reputation that Camp-Inn has earned the hard way. They have helped spread the love of teardropping to all teardroppers, not only their customers.

Well Allen (or is it Julie), I hope this was just an April Fools statement. Because if it wasn't, you have no idea of what you’re talking about. I’ve been to a couple of gatherings (3 ITG's & IRG) that Camp Inn has been at and they are very gracious with their donations and with help & advice when asked and some times when not asked. And it's always good. I could say more but I won't because kayaklover said it very well while I was typing.

I haven't purchased anything from Camp Inn but I've spoken to them on the phone and they''ve been very nice.

Mightydog, You're way off base with your statement. Camp-Inn is one of the most generous companies I've ever dealt with. I'm fortunate enough to live close to Necedah and am able to camp with them many times throughout the year. I've personally witnessed numerous times when they have given away costly items to not only Camp-Inn owners but to others as well.

The idea of the thread was a prank. Please forgive my trying to play along with the joke. I didn't put a smiley face or other emoticon with the comment because I assumed the joke--the topic of the thread--was understood by those who would read it. Caseydog's sense of humor is, for me, well known.

To set the record straight, since Tue Aug 09, 2005 at 4:21 pm I have known:

The legendary work that Camp Inn has done for our community.

The great people there who give of their time and experience as with the many other people on the forum who do the same.

The parts and quality of same that they sell.

I promise to contain any sense of humor in the future and keep any or all postings to questions or answers.
