Where to build?

Postby Benhamtroll » Wed Jan 11, 2012 1:12 am

Well, I've been struggling to figure out where I could do the construction on my trailer. I live in a rental that is the lower floor of a house, and I don't have a garage. I don't really have a driveway either, since we have a shared parking lot with the professional building next door.

After thinking hard about it, I realized I'll have to repurpose something I built a few years back and take it out of commission for a while. . .

It's the only covered area I have. It seems a shame to turn it into a construction zone, but if I want to build, that's the way it goes!

I built all 4 of mine in the driveway and the yard so that looks like a very doable mini shop to me too !

If thats what you read into it, then sure ;)

Welcome to the forum! Doesn't look like a bad little shop to me. I've been using friends & families garages, but anything with a roof is certainly a good start!

I joked about calling my TD "rain dancer" as every time I worked on it it rained or at least sprinkled, my only shelter was an 8x8 cheapo ez-up clone, which beat nothing, that gazebo would have been awesome for me. If you check my WWW you'll see it parked under the awning until I finally got it leak proof and painted. I actually was overnighting at work with it with a tarp strapped on in the bare wood stage, and parking it under the awning at home. I had to strap the awning to the TD to keep it on.

I've been know to build under a tarp when the circumstances dictate it... so yea, any roof is a good start!
