Hi Folks,
Well we are off to a great start. trailers finished, floors built and the sides are ready. so I figure it 's time to start considering the electrical end of things. This is not my strongest area. simply stated i'm an idiot about such things (it's out now). I've been searching for an all in one load center that is not huge like the one in my travel trailer. I found a WFCO 240V 25 amp unit that will fit the plan. my questions is, will 25 amps be enough. The plan calls for a microwave, toaster oven, and 2500 BTU Air conditioner on the 110 side. 12 volt will include, Tv, satilite reciever and carry out dish, 3 interior lights and 2 porch lights. not to mention what ever might be pluged into a wall socket or 12 volts socket. 25 amps seems light to me but what do I know? So I ask you before I distroy the power grid. Thank you for your help.

Do a search on WFCO converter problems, and then consider a Progressive Dynamics. I see LOTS of WFCO (country of origin China) complaints on various forums many of which do not last a year, examples of outright failure and over and under charging, hard on batteries. I see no complaints for PD and when I had a problem (I know contradictory, but wired wrong by the factory) they responded and with in 24 hrs and I had a replacement. The amps are how quickly it will recharge your battery and 25 is a bit low.

Thank you. That cleared up a lot. I'm just looking for one that will fit in the cabinet space I have. But I want to be sure it won't let me down either(see China). I'll check out progressive again and see if they have one I may have missed. Thanks again.

There are depending on which model WAFCO fewer circuits both DC and AC compared to the same size, PD Note they are a pound lighter weight. In my seldom humble opinion there is no comparison. You don't hear of complaints with PD you do with WFCO and other converters made by this company and badged differently

I'm sold!! That's what I was looking for. It will fit the space with A little room to spare and I can separate my branch circuits better. Thanks again for all your help. I'm new at this and it's nice to have somewhere I can go and ask a question before I make a bad mistake.
