I wish I could send you some of our rain and snow. Our snowpack is at 150% of normal. At the place where I ski, they have about 20 feet of snow at 6000 feet. That means that we won't be able to get into the high country for hiking until late August or September. That happened last year with the same amount of snow. Our huckleberries were late in getting ripe, and did not have much of a taste because of the cool summer weather. We also must keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't melt too fast and cause flooding.

They were talking on the radio yesterday, about temps being above normal for everywhere except Alaska, where they said they were below normal. I guess the Pacific Northwest is Alaska now. Last year was cooler and wetter than normal. This year is copying that so far.

The sun is out now. Or whatever that seldom seen bright light is...
