Eriba Puck

I am going to go look at an Eriba Puck tomorrow. Sounds like it will be a fixer upper. I was wondering if it is hard to get parts for them. I think I can figure out how to replace the canvas.

I do not know what year the trailer is. I'm thinking it is a 1970s from the bit of research I did.

You need to look at the structure if it's a fixer-upper. From memory, the Puck uses a combination of two moulded fiberglass roofs (one fixed, one lifting), aluminum sheeting round the sides/front/rear and a tubular steel structure inside holding it all up, so rust in the steel is a possibility. These trailers are well loved by the VW bus guys and regularly get restored, so it's not a deal-breaker - but you need to know how much work you might be taking on. It pains me, but I sold my beloved RebaPuck just today. Took the $1000 deposit so there's no backing out now.

You are not going to find parts stateside. Most just find something similar.

There is someone in England selling repo canvas for Pucks. Check eBay. I have measured and feel a repo canvas for a vintage VW small poptop will work as well.

I drove out and looked at it. They sure are cute. But, one front corner had a lot of water damage. I thought I could make a new camvas thing, but replacing the cabinets and who knows what behind them seemed beyond my skill. Funny, the upholstery was in excellent shape. No leaks on that end.

Thenks for your tips. If anybody is interested, I can steer or send you to the Craig's Listing. They were asking $1500. Oh, it looked like a mid 70s model.
