New to Forums / TD scheming

Postby Roguetiger » Wed Apr 25, 2012 3:06 pm

Hi everyone,

My name is Jeff, I live in South Western Washington State and am just getting started in the planning/dreaming/scheming stage of building a teardrop. I'm leaning toward the Big Woody planset on-top of a HF folding trailer.

I really appreciate the effort put into sharing information with the community members, I've already been schooled on simple electrical systems, frame set up, ply bending, finishing, and 'borrowed' a 1,000 good ideas on how to finish the inside.

I look forward to starting in June(ish) and will put up a build journal as I begin the journey. Just wanted to take the moment to introduce myself and thank everyone for this great resource.

Cheers,

-Jeff

Hi Jeff, welcome to the forum. So, you plan to build a Woody, that caught my attention. I have built 2 TDs on Harbor Freight frames with 12 inch wheels. No problems what so ever so far, except a bit of tire wear at 10,000 miles. Swing on down to the Shasta Dam Gathering in a couple of weeks. Bring a tent, sleep in your vehicle or whatever. You'll meet about a hundred teardroppers who have all kinds of ideas for you to incorperate into your build. Good luck.

Welcome Jeff!!

This is a great place to learn from the best and they all love to share their knowledge and talk abut their build.
I am sure that you have found that you can spend hours and days just exploring this site. I know that if I sit down at 11pm
it will turn into 3am before I blink!!

I love it!!

Good luck on your build and send lots of pictures...
