Don't see one of these everyday. 200A burgundy

Postby Joamon » Fri Apr 27, 2012 1:18 pm

I was 100 miles away and saw this on craigslist at an antique store. Had to go that way anyway so I thought I would stop by. The owner said it had belong to his dad and that it had only been fired once. That my be true but it had alot of carbon on it and the globe had about four frosted bubbles burned into it. The tank and the vent were really clean. I bought it and took it apart to clean it up. New fuel gasket, different globe, and I pained the frame.

Oh, that is a nice one. Nothing like a good after dinner burgundy.

What a great find! Most of all the stuff I find is rough...but I'm into the "silk purse/sows ear" thing. I always keep my eyes peeled for the cherry ones though. Doug
