New Owner of a Teardrop in Fort Worth

Postby Wikid » Sat Apr 28, 2012 10:53 pm

Well my wife called me at work and said she found a teardrop on Craigslist and wanted it. It was just our 1 year anniversary last weekend so I decided it'd be something neat and also an excuse to get it. I bought it from Greg (aprazr56) here in Fort Worth. It's a work of art. I have lots of questions and hope to meet some of yall as we explore more.

I've owned campers, 5th wheels, Rock Crawling Jeeps, Jeeps, Big trucks, Boats, an Airplane so far my short life so I have lots of experience in many different areas. My parents always had camping trailers too. My wife just talked me into a 2012 Dutchman 27 foot bumper pull a few months ago. We've been using it a lot but it's so expensive to take it anywhere (7 mpg towing). The idea is to be able to take the Teardrop more often and further away to see more of the US.

I washed it and my Dutchman today. I just got back from Larry Joe Taylor Festival in my Dutchman and it was covered in dust. I decide to wash them both in the driveway before I put them up for the week or so.

I'll start a thread here soon on a hitch rebuild. It's been jackknifed before plus it's about 7 inches too long to completely fit in my garage:( It's in there but I had to put the hitch on the ground and tie it closed. I put 2x6's in the gap to keep the Zombie Cats out!

Wow, that's cool. Now you're gonna want to hurry with that so you and the wifey can make the next LCG in October. It's not to be missed. :)
