Kuffelcreek plans for sale?

First off, Thanks for all the valuable information on this board. I'm a long time lurker, first time poster.

My question is if anyone has plans for either the Comet or the Cubby plans from Kuffel creek that they're finished using and would be willing to sell? I'm thinking that these plans will be a good place to start, and I can only assume that there are copies sitting around gathering dust.

Welcome to the site, Michael.

Don't know how others on the site feel, but this is a pretty tightknit community and we all try to look out for each other. The people selling plans are providing an important service to our little community and we try to support them by purchasing printed plans from them and not each other. There are free plans here on the site for a generic build (see at the top of page), or your can buy Steve Frederick's CD. If you spend much time here on the site, you'll realize that printed plans really aren't necessary, just helpful. The main thing is to learn the steps to building, decide on a shape best for your purposes and then to go for it. Glad you found our little group. Good luck in your build.

You are right. It makes more sense to support Kufflecreek directly.

I'm just a little nervous about this project, and I was looking to save some money at the beginning, and get my hand held a bit in the process.

I'll keep reading and learning, and if I decide they're still the best option, I'll go with them directly.

Michael, being foolish is asking a question, getting a good answer and then still doing it your way and it turns out bad and then you complain about it. That's being foolish. It's easy to miss something on this board, so ask a way.

We are taking the open source approach here... We have tons of information available, you shouldn't have to buy any information. Of course there are additional sources of information, such as the inside out method that Steve F. publishes... a good collection of information at a good price.

But what makes the forum so valuable is that you can ask a question and get a specific answer... and quick too! The guys here are the greatest!

So like Gage says, ask away, someone, somewhere should have an answer for you...

I have a set of plans I don't use anymore, but I won't sell them. I just wouldn't feel right about it. Kevin's a great guy and deserves the business.

Like they said...................just ask away. There are plenty of answers here on the site................and lot's of people to share them. Just sort out what sounds solid to you for your project and go with it.

Welcome to the madness! This really is a fun place to hang out and discuss the various topics surrounding building these cute little trailers. I certainly understand your hesitation.

A few years ago I bought Kevin's Cubby plans when I first started out. Although I never build directly from his plans, they really helped me understand the building process. Of course there weren't any great "open source" plans back then like there are today so you may not need the Cubby plans.

I hope it isn't too long before I hear you announce the beginning of your own build!
