I think we’re all being scammed....

Postby GPW » Mon May 14, 2012 5:21 pm

Lately I’ve seen these advertisements popping up all over saying to be sure to follow the Presidents plan and re finance your house , or if you’re old , get a reverse mortgage ... Whose President, the Banks ? There has been nothing like this coming from our current US President ....And we all know it’s these practices that caused so much trouble in the first place . I suspect it is a plan put forth by the Bankers (1%) who would have us ALL lose our homes to them (they do want it ALL) ... and a plan (Lie) to embarrass the current administration in an election year ... You must remember , multi millionaires didn’t get their Money by being Nice to people ... not a one.... They don’t care about us and will do Anything to Fox us of our money and property ... leaving us with a small trailer and them 14 mansions... :o
Read between the lines .... Be Smart , Think !!! Don’t become another victim of the Rich ....
Anyone can Buy advertising, and it doesn’t have to be the truth ... Don’t believe what you read (even me ) Investigate !!!!
There’s no place like Foam !

Yes, I've noticed that certain words will be highlighted and underlined, without formatting being done by the poster. If you click on one of those blue colored, underlined words, you are taken to another site. I suspect the sneaky program is embedded somewhere in our 'Post a Reply' forum programs. If you run a preview of your posting, you can see these and can circumvent them by using the last half of the underline command: [/quote] IN FRONT OF the problem area. The command will show when you post but it stops the other problem. I suspect that eventually, our admins will find it and fix it. (Note: you can see the problem in this very posting, as 'programs' is colored blue and is underlined. I intentionally left it for you to see and understand.)

PS. I just sent this to the Admins.

I use Firefox with the NoScript plug in. It gets rid of the underlined words and most of the banner adds. It can be a pain to use sometimes as it will block scripts you want to use but it also keeps maelware scripts from running so I still use it.

Could it be you that have a virus? I got one last year when I tried to install software that I didn't pay for. It redirected links, redirected searches with Google and Yahoo, especially those for removing that virus. I could not connect to McAfee, Symantec or AVG.

If it was a virus, it's gone now and I didn't do anything. I think Admin may have fixed it already. I have four different anti virus programs (I know...overkill...but I only pay for one of them. I pull the others off and my providers put them right back again; so, I gave up. )

It's got nothing to do with the current president, and it has even less to do with the evil rich that you hate so much.

It's viral advertising, it's been done for years, and it's marketing groups trying to sucker you into buying what they are selling.

I use Chrome, and I don't see any blue or underlined words. The forum doesn't have any thing like that set up. So if you are getting underlined or blue words that link to someplace else, then you are running something in your browser, or you have a utility/spamware etc running.

I don't understand the reasoning behind using a photo of the creepiest people they can find. That certainly wouldn't entice me to click on anything.
