solid axle

I searched this web so am sorry if this is a repeat. I am looking at building my own trailer and was wondering about no suspension and going with a solid axle with flanges on each end to put the hubs on. That would mean the tires are the suspension, input welcome.

Don't think its a good idea..... Suspension in there for a reason and tires are not a part of the concept...
