A Stack O' Stoves to be done.....

Postby doug hodder » Thu May 17, 2012 8:10 pm

At least with stoves, you can stack them up, until they are done...I really need to get going on the backlog but the flying pollen makes it tough to shoot paint outdoors right now and the garage is full of trailers. With the planned camping trips...this stack will take me into next fall. Thanks go out to my "pickers". I appreciate it. Doug

I love the hunt more than the stoves. I am glad to find them a good home. Glad to help.

Holy Cr@p Doug, that is quite a stack! Maybe it's time to set up a spray booth in the back of the store! Some times a full time job can interfere with our hobbies. Have fun, can't wait to see them finished.

They typically each get a turn out camping and occasional light duty use, the rest reside in the Museum of Gas Pressure Appliances until it's their turn camping. Doug

Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

You've got some interesting ones in that stack Doug. I still need to get those Preways over to you, that would make an even dozen and should get you past New Years lol.

my work benches (2) look worse...so I'm working out on the cement patio right now..getting the paint striped on the 220f fount..everything is going great, but yeah, that stripper will eat your gloves if it gets half a chance!

I'd rather be outside working on stuff anyway..whether there is a need for ventilation or not.

Kirk...thanks for putting a bug in my ear on the whole work bench thing. I spent most of last weekend cleaning the garage. I am still working on the bench, but managed to get a lot of the stuff back where it needs to be and cleaned the garage. I pulled every tool out of my roll away cabinet and top box, cleaned it all out and reorganized it. I can actually find tools now! I am missing a 1/2" 3/8 drive socket however...but everything is in it's place now. Funny how you end up with so many duplicates of tools. I got a bazillion screwdrivers and allen wrenches! Plan is to spend a couple of hours and sharpen every drill bit I have and finish up the bench this weekend. I found a sheet of 1/4" ply that I have had sitting around....that means the roll-away table gets a new top on it too! It's got a good base top, I just replace the top skin on it every couple of years as It gets torn up. Doug

Now That's a stack of stoves - it getting too hot around here to do any looking for Coleman stuff. I did manage to pick up a Coleman military sterilizer stove to add to the resto list.
