New Lantern and Oven

Postby Zollinger » Wed May 30, 2012 5:59 pm

ALL you guys seem to be a bad influence for me. I have been saying for a while that I have to stop collecting more vintage camping stuff. After all who really needs 15+ lanterns? In my defence they all work, and I really don't spend more than $10 for any one except for the one I bought with a case a couple of weeks ago. 228H bighat in a homemade case, 4 new mantles, a newer funnel, extra genny and full of fuel for $20.

Going camping in a couple of weeks and decided to redo my old Coleman oven. DH fixed the rust hole in the back, and I made new shelf from some old wire cooling racks. Some high temp BBQ paint and we are good to go. Also made a custom carrying case for it.

Oh ya also bought a new Coleman camp shower for $8 of Vinnies last week.

It even came with its own house. I love the home made boxes. They are so much more fun than the Coleman boxes. :applause:

Beautiful, Dawn. Think of all the things people collect. Many spend way more then we do on these lanterns. Plus the lantern will always have a use. That can't be said for many collections.

I use that oven regularly, much better than the newer version. Doug
