I have now framed out the pop top side panels, cut out for the clearstory window and framed for it.

I have completed the pop top side wall. Well short of installing the window. Also I finished the last part of the graphic, the charcoal stripe.

I have been crouching and bumping my head repeatedly while working inside the trailer but now I have this top propped up high and it is very much more comportable to walk into and work inside of now. Which is good because I am about to switch gears and do up the interior.

It looks like you're headed for the home stretch and should be camping soon!

Acht! As soon as I start thinking I am nearly done the clock seems to slow down and everthing takes 4 times longer than I thought.

Sort of a 'what if' or 'just wondering type of question.

I just noticed/realized that the top of the bathroom area
is enclosed or covered. Since you now have solid pop-top
infill walls, what about opening up the bathroom area top
too with a couple of flip-up wall extensions? The extra
headroom could be quite handy I'd think.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Above the bathroom is where my window AC is going, plus I think it is very important to really seal off the bathroom very positively from the rest of the cabin...for obvious reasons. My theory on the AC unit is that it is going to make more noise than I wish and that I wanted to get it as far away from my head when sleeping as possible and that it would be good to have the unit up high rather than on the ground.

Today I perminently mounted all of my windows. This was a bit of a big deal as the openings were not finished correctly. I glued wood blocking into voids and cut out the openings proper and filled and sanded them. Here is how they look now from the inside.

I have finishing rings for the inside but they came off of a fiberglass truck top. it was very thin and so my thick walls do not work with them. I used plan B which was simply to drill through the outer aluminum window frame lip and stainless steel screw them into place. It actually worked quite well.

A lick of primer paint inside and it looks completely different. Lots of work to do inside.
